Mia Moda Compagno Stroller Review

– the complete Mia Moda Compagno Stroller Review!

YSG Rating: 3.9 out of 5 stars (3.9 / 5)

Weight: 32.5 lbs

The Mia Moda Compagno is a super old model sit and stand style double stroller for two kids. It is unfortunately no longer available in stores at the moment. So as an alternative, I’d recommend you have a look at more recent and better quality strollers – the Graco RoomFor2 and the Baby Trend Sit N Stand:

Graco RoomFor2

Baby Trend Sit N Stand

These are both new models and of good quality. They both sit and stand double strollers and are quite similar to the Mia Moda Compagno stroller in terms of features.

On the other hand, if you’re considering getting the Mia Moda Compagno stroller for free or as a second hand product, then this review tells you all you need to know about the stroller!

Mia Moda Compagno Stroller Features

Standing Platform with Hand Support: As a Sit N Stand stroller, the Mia Mods Compagno has a standing platform that allows the older toddler to stand behind the stroller seat. The stroller also has handles that gives your toddler something to hold on to while standing.

Car Seat Compatible: The Mia Moda Compagno stroller is car seat compatible. It has a car seat adapter that lets you easily attach car seats from top brands like Chicco, Graco and Evenflo. If you already have one of these car seats, you can re-use it and don’t have to purchase a new one!

Note: the car seat and car seat adapters are not included in the price, so you’d have to purchase them separately!

Newborn Stroller: By replacing the stroller seat with an infant car seat, you can easily transform the Compagno into a nice newborn stroller. This allows you to use the stroller from the birth of your baby till they are older – up to 6 years. Once your baby is old enough, you can switch back to the stroller seat.

Multi-Position Recline: The stroller seat is able to recline into 3 positions. You can have your baby sitting upright or laying back to take a nap.

5-Point Harness: in terms of safety, the stroller seat has a 5-point harness that helps to keep your baby safely strapped to the stroller seat. As babies tend to move around while you’re not paying full attention, the harness makes sure they are safely strapped into the stroller seat during a ride!

All Wheel Suspension System and Lockable Swiveling Wheels: In terms of ease of maneuvering and giving a smooth ride, the Compagno is one of the best! It has lockable swiveling front wheels that makes it easy to maneuver. And the shock absorbing all-wheel suspension system helps to give you and your baby a smooth and bump-free ride.

Self-Standing Quick Fold: the stroller also has a quick fold feature that lets you fold it up quickly and easily. It folds up into a nice self-standing position that makes it easy to store.

Storage Basket: in terms of storage, the stroller includes a large rear-accessible basket for storing your on-the-go items. You can carry your diapers, bottles, toys or snacks while on-the-go.

Extendable Stroller Canopy: The stroller has an extendable canopy that helps to provide your child with some shade. The canopy is not so large however, so it might not provide enough shade especially for bigger kids.

Child’s Weight: Although the stroller weighs around 32.5 lbs, it can only carry a max weight of 45 lbs. This is really small for two kids cause it means you can only carry two small kids aboard the stroller. Also, the stroller seat alone can carry only a max. of 40 lbs.

Mia Moda Compagno Stroller Reviews

Before making a buying decision, it is always nice to review the Pros and Cons before going with a stroller. But fortunately for the Mia Moda Compagno, there are way more Pros than Cons! Here is a short overview for you:

Pros

  • All-wheel suspension system: shock-absorbing suspension system for smooth rides
  • Quick self-standing fold
  • Child and parent tray with cup holders
  • Car seat compatible with top brands

Cons

  • Bulky fold
  • Heavy at 30.5 lbs especially for smaller parents
  • Poor design and fabric quality
  • Can only carry 45 lbs

The Mia Moda Compagno has a number of features you’d want to have in your everyday stroller. However, it also has quite a number of Cons – large bulky fold, super heavy at 32.5 lbs, and poor quality/flimsy look and feel.

The stroller is quite heavy at 32.5 lbs which makes it quite heavy especially for smaller parents. I also don’t like the general tacky look of the stroller. There are newer and better strollers currently available on the market:

Graco RoomFor2

Baby Trend Sit N Stand

Lastly, it can also carry a max. of 45 lbs which is really small for a double stroller for two kids. Your kids won’t be able to use the stroller for more than a few years before having to give it up.

Next, in terms of feedback and reviews from parents who also purchased and used the stroller, a lot of them unfortunately had quite a number of dislikes to mention:

Likes
  • Sit and stand stroller
  • Car seat compatible
  • Large stroller basket
  • Child and parent tray with cup holder
Dislikes
  • Large and bulky especially when folded
  • Very heavy weight
  • Small canopy size
  • Handlebar height is not adjustable
  • Poor quality and fabric

There was quite a number of negative feedback for the Mia Moda Compagno. Although it has a nice sit and stand feature, a lot of parents were not happy with the size especially when folded. It folds up quite bulky that it is quite hard to store or carry in the trunk of your car. You’d need a lot of space in your car or truck to be able to store the stroller.

Also, the stroller was reviewed to be quite heavy at 32.5 lbs. This makes it super heavy to carry and you definitely need a car if you want to carry it around with you. Its handlebar height is also fixed at a low height so taller parents might experience inconveniences and back pains with having to hunch over all the time.

Lastly, a lot of parents were not happy with the stroller quality and materials used – all a bit flimsy and great looking.

All these are features to be considered before purchasing the Mia Moda Compagno.

And based on the stroller features and parent reviews, the Mia Moda Compagno Stroller gets:

Overall Rating:  3.9 out of 5 stars (3.9 / 5)

Price for Quality: 3.8 out of 5 stars (3.8 / 5)

Lightweight and Sturdiness: 3.7 out of 5 stars (3.7 / 5)

Ease of Use and Maneuverability: 3.9 out of 5 stars (3.9 / 5)

Features: 4.1 out of 5 stars (4.1 / 5)

With all the above, I won’t recommend the Mia Moda Compagno as there are more high quality strollers with better features currently available on the market. I’d instead recommend the Graco RoomFor2 or the Baby Trend Sit N Stand.

Where to Buy?

The Mia Moda Compagno has been discontinued so it is currently not available in stores.

Conclusion –  Mia Moda Compagno Stroller Review

Unfortunately the Mia Moda Compagno is no longer available in stores, and is also a really old stroller model. So unless you’re getting it for free from a friend or family, I won’t advise you to spend your money on it even as a second-hand stroller. There are way more affordable strollers like the Graco RoomFor2 or the Baby Trend Sit N Stand. These are both strollers with better quality and are also available at super affordable prices! If you’d like a nice good quality Sit N Stand stroller, then I’d recommend either of the above.

And that’s it for the full Mia Moda Compagno stroller review! I hope it has provided you with enough information to make your buying decision.
