– the complete Graco Urbanlite stoller Review!
YSG Rating: (3.9 / 5)
Weight: 26 lbs
The Graco Urbanlite is a super old model by Graco which has long been discontinued and is no longer being sold in stores. If you’d like a more recent model that is available in stock, I’d rather recommend the Graco Verb Click Connect stroller. It is a much nicer stroller with better quality, and also available at a super affordable price:
And the Bravo LE Quick Fold Stroller is a also nice alternative offered by the top brand Chicco.
On the other hand, if you’re considering getting the Graco Urbanlite for free or as a second-hand product, then this review tells you all you need to know about the Graco Urbanlite stroller!

Graco Urbanlite Stroller Features
Car Seat Compatible: The Graco Urbanlite stroller is car seat compatible! It has the simple click-in feature that lets you simply click-in any of the Graco infant car seats without needing an adapter. You can easily transform your stroller into a nice travel system for your baby!
Note: the car seat needs to be purchased separately.
Newborn Stroller: Although the stroller seat cannot directly be used for a newborn, you can simply replace the stroller seat with the infant car seat then, you can safely carry your newborn aboard the stroller. And once your baby is older, you can switch back to the stroller seat. This allows you to use the stroller from the birth of your baby till they are older – up to 6 years old!
Multi-Position Recline: The stroller also has a multi-position reckjnebfeaures that lets you easily recline the stroller seat into multiple positions. You can have your baby sitting upright or laying back for a nice nap.
5-Point Harness: In terms of safety, the stroller seat has a 5-point harness system which helps to keep your baby safely strapped to the stroller seat. As babies tend to move around when you’re not paying full-attention, the harness helps to keep them safely strapped into the stroller seat.
Lockable Swiveling Front Wheels: In terms of ease of maneuvering and stroller ride, the Graco Urbanlite has lockable swiveling front wheels that makes it easier to maneuver the stroller. Although it doesn’t move smoothly on grassy or rough terrain, it moves well on paved roads and sidewalks.
Adjustable Handlebar: the handlebar height can be adjusted into different positions. And this is really great for both small and tall parents as you can easily adjust the handlebar to suit the height of the parent using the stroller. It really saves you the backache or shoulder pain from having to hunch over or push at an awkward and uncomfortable position.
One- Quick Fold: the stroller has a one-hand quick fold feature that lets you easily fold up the stroller without having to free up both hands. This is quite nice as you can easily fold up the stroller when in a hurry or while you’re holding your baby with your other hand.
Storage Basket: In terms of storage, the Urbanlite has a large rear-accessible basket for storing your on-the-go items. You can carry your diapers, bottles, toys or snacks while on-the-go.
Extendable Stroller Canopy: the stroller also has a nice large extendable canopy that helps to provide enough cover for your baby. It also has a nice mesh fabric on the side that helps with providing some ventilation for your kid inside the stroller.
Child’s Weight: the stroller weighs around 21 lbs however, it is sturdy enough to carry up to 50 lbs of child weight. This is quite great as it means you can use the stroller for big kids/toddlers – up to 7 years old!
Graco Urbanlite Reviews
Before making a buying decision, it is always nice to review the pros and cons! Here is a quick overview for the Graco Urbanlite stroller:
Pros
- Car seat compatible: using a simple click-in feature and no car seat adapters needed
- Adjustable Handlebar: you can adjust the handlebar to the height of the parent handling the stroller
- Child and parent tray included: for holding snacks and bottles while riding
- One-hand quick fold feature: easy folding without having to free up both hands
Cons
- Flimsy stroller materials
- Wheels not great off-road
For an old model stroller, the Graco Urban Lite is actually quite great in terms of features you’d need for everyday use. However, the main Cons are with the stroller materials/its look and feel.
The fabric used for the canopy and also the basket are quite flimsy and look to be of poorer quality compared to most strollers we have now. This was probably used to make it more affordable and also lightweight, but it also makes it look less nice and more flimsy.
Apart from the stroller quality, the wheels also do not work great off-road. It doesn’t move well on grass and tends to shake a lot if you ride over unpaved roads or non-concrete surfaces.
So although the Graco Urbanlite is quite great in terms of features, you still need to consider what kind of quality you’re looking for and if you’d like to use the stroller for a long time or just a short period.
And lastly, in terms of feedback and reviews from parents who also purchased and used the stroller, there was a mix of Likes and Dislikes:
Although the Urbanlite stroller had a few likes, it also had a few dislikes that were mentioned by parents in their reviews. A few parents pointed out the quality of the fabric used for the stroller. It is a bit flimsy and prone to wearing off. The stroller also doesn’t have enough padding which might be uncomfortable for your baby. Lastly, some parents found that the stroller is a bit heavier than expected. Was a bit heavy to carry for smaller parents. So these are things you might want to consider before getting the Graco Urban Lite even as a second-hand.
Based on the stroller features and parent reviews, the Graco Urbanlite Stroller gets:
Overall Rating: (3.9 / 5)
Quality: (3.7 / 5)
Sturdiness: (3.8 / 5)
Ease of Use and Maneuverability: (4 / 5)
Features: (4.1 / 5)
The Graco Urbanlite doesn’t get a great rating in terms of quality because I feel there are way more quality strollers currently available on the market. And also at super super affordable prices! So unless you’re getting the Graco Urbanlite for free, I’d recommend you spend your money newer model and better quality stroller like: the Graco Verb Click Connect stroller which is very affordable at under $100, or the Chicco Bravo LE Quick Fold stroller – it is a few dollars more but also higher quality!

Conclusion – Graco Urbanlite Review
Unfortunately the Graco Urbanlite is no longer available in stores, and is also one of Graco’s really old models. And unless you’re getting the stroller for free, I won’t advise you to spend money on it even as a second-hand. There are way more affordable strollers like the Graco Verb Click Connect. It is super affordable, and way better than the Urbanlite in terms of features and quality. A nicer alternative to the Urbanlite is any of the two recommended strollers – the Graco Verb Click Connect or the Chicco Bravo LE Quick Fold!
And that’s it for a full Graco Urbanlite Review! I hope it has provided you with enough information to make your buying decision!
