The Volo is a lightweight stroller released by the top quality brand Maclaren. It is quite lightweight at around 12 lbs but sturdy enough to carry up to 55 lbs which means you can use it for big kids/toddlers – up to 7 years old. It is also quite affordable compared to most Maclaren strollers. And it has simple features like a 5-point harness, a one-hand compact fold, and an all-wheel suspension system.
It is unfortunately not car seat compatible which means you cannot use it for a newborn. But it has all the features you’d need to ride smoothly and safely with your toddler.

The Maclaren Volo is a luxury style, super lightweight stroller. It does not have so many features, but its level of quality makes it stand out more when compared to the average stroller. It has quite a number of Pros – lightweight, all-wheel suspension system, UPF50 canopy, etc. But it also has a few Cons – not car seat compatible, not suitable for newborns, seat does not recline, hard to claim warranty, etc.
The Maclaren Volo unfortunately does not have a car seat option, or a carrycot option, which makes it not compatible for newborns! The stroller is only suitable for toddlers, so if you’re looking for a stroller from the birth of your child, the Maclaren Volo is not a suitable option. Also, the stroller seat is stationary in one position and doesn’t not recline, so it would be uncomfortable for small babies. It is only suitable for kids from 6 months and up.
The other main Con for the Maclaren Volo is the stroller warranty and how difficult it could be to claim it. Although it says you have a lifetime warranty, Maclaren does not easily offer you a replacement when you request for it. Unless your stroller has a major technical default or flaw, it isn’t quite easy to get a replacement. A lot of parents reported being unable to replace their strollers as Maclaren attributed most issues to wear and tear.
