One of the best tandem style strollers on the market – the Contours Elite Double stroller! This stroller is perfect for growing families with two kids – either twins, or two kids slightly apart in age. The stroller is car seat compatible allowing you to fit in two newborns – if you have twins, or you can carry a newborn and a toddler – if you have a young toddler and are expecting a newborn. 

This is a great quality everyday stroller for families with two kids. It includes all the features you’d wish to have in an everyday stroller –  a basket, adjustable footrest, multi-position recline, and extra storage pocket. Although not included in the price, you can also get additional accessories like a child tray with cup holder, a parent tray, and car seat adapters for other car seat brands. It has an all-wheel suspension system that gives you and your baby a smooth and bump-free ride. It weighs only 34 lbs which is pretty lightweight for a double stroller making it easier to maneuver. 

In terms of features and quality, the Contour Elite truly is definitely a stroller worth your time. It is not super affordable but still pretty decent for a double stroller.

Tandem Style Stroller: With the tandem style stroller, you have one kid riding in front, and another riding behind. This is mostly preferred for a double stroller as it is easier to maneuver and you won’t have trouble going through narrow parts or small doorways. 

Car Seat Compatible: The stroller is compatible with strollers from multiple brands like Chicco, Nuna, Graco, Maxi-Cosi, Britax and Evenflo. If you already have car seats from these brands, then you only need to purchase the specific car seat adapter for your brand. Or you could get the universal adapter which also works for all the above brands including Peg Perego.

Carrycot Stroller: In addition to the car seat, you can also purchase the Contours carrycot which can also be used to carry your newborn. If you don’t want a car seat for your newborn, you can get a carrycot instead and still be able to fit a newborn and toddler aboard the stroller. 

All Wheels Suspension System: The stroller includes an all-wheel suspension system that gives you and your babies a smooth and bump-free ride. This is especially needed when carrying two kids, you don’t want to have to handle it wobbling or bumping around especially if you have a newborn/infant aboard.

Toe-Tap Brakes: The stroller brakes can be activated with a simple toe tap at the rear of the stroller. It is sandal friendly and makes it easier to park/halt the stroller. 

5-Point Harness: Once your babies are older, they can safely use the stroller seats. It includes a 5-point harness that helps keep them safely strapped into the stroller seats.

Multi-Position Recline: The stroller seat is able to recline into multiple positions, allowing your kids to be more comfortable especially during long trips. Your kids can choose to sit up or lay back when they get tired.

Reversible Stroller Seat: In addition, the stroller seats can be reversed to be both forward or backwards facing. You could even adjust the stroller seats so both kids can face each other and play together – I find this very sweet!

Adjustable Leg Rest: The stroller seats also include an adjustable leg rest for extra support and comfort for your kids.

Replace Stroller Seat with Bench: Another reason to love this stroller is that you can also replace the rear stroller seat with a bench that can be used for a big kid 3 year and older! If one of your kids outgrows the stroller seat, they can easily switch to using the stroller bench and still enjoy a nice ride on the stroller!

3-Panel Extendable Canopy with Ventilation Mesh: The stroller has a large extendable canopy that helps to protect your child from harsh weather, or from too much sunlight during your time outdoors. The ventilation mesh helps to increase airflow and circulation within the stroller. It can also be closed up during cold weather and you want to keep your babies warm.

Rear-Accessible Stroller Basket: This stroller comes with a large storage basket to help with storing your on-the-go items. It’s big enough to hold items like diapers, bottles, wipes, etc for two kids! 

Accessories: The stroller has a lot of accessories which can be purchased separately:

Contours Elite Double Stroller Reviews

After reviewing the Elite double stroller there are quite a number of Pros that makes it a nice stroller to have for two kids. Apart from being a bit pricey and needing to pay extra for all accessories, the stroller is quite a great fetch. And in terms of reviews for parents who purchased the stroller, most of them were ecstatic with their purchase. Barely any negative reviews. Here is an overview of the Likes and Dislikes based on the parent feedback.

After analyzing the reviews and feedback for the stroller, there were a lot of positives, but also a few negatives. Quite a number of parents found the stroller to be quite bulky when folded up and also a bit hard to fold sometimes. So this is one to note when considering the stroller. Another thing to consider is that although the stroller is quite lightweight, it is still a bit bulky so I won’t recommend it for small moms or parents as it might be quite hard to maneuver. 

Therefore my verdict is that, if you don’t mind the bulky fold (i.e. you have enough room to store the stroller), then I’d definitely recommend the Contours Elite double stroller. It has great features that makes it worth the purchase and no complaints in terms of stroller quality. So if you like the style, features, quality and some room to store a nice stroller, then I’d definitely give this a thumbs up. But if you’re looking for something less bulky or even a bit more affordable, I can recommend the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Modular stroller.
