BOB Motion Stroller Review

– the complete BOB Motion stroller review!

YSG Rating: 4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

The first thing to note is that the Bob Motion stroller was discontinued in 2016. I’d also suggest you look into the more recent Bob strollers – Revolution Flex or the Rambler. These are more up-to-date jogging strollers in terms of features and design.

Check them both out at Amazon: Revolution Flex, Rambler

On the other hand, if you’re considering buying the BOB Motion stroller as a second hand (as they are currently no longer available in most stores) here is a full review for you!

The BOB Motion stroller is an all terrain stroller that handles different terrains: grassy, gravel or sandy terrain. It can be used as an everyday stroller but also for jogging on the sidewalks, in the park, and multiple terrains. The BOB Motion is quite compact which makes it great as an everyday stroller. Weighing around 23.1 lbs, the stroller is able to carry up to 65 lbs! This makes it great for big/older toddlers. It is car seat compatible, which makes it great for newborns (by purchasing a car seat, you can carry your newborn aboard the stroller and switch to the stroller seat once your baby is older).

In addition, the stroller has a one-hand quick-fold feature that lets you fold the stroller with just a single hand motion. This folds the stroller into the small dimensions of 21.9″W x 10.1″H x 26.3″L. The fold is super compact, you can easily carry it in a bag or in the trunk of a small car.  The stroller also has an adjustable handlebar making it ideal for taller or shorter parents. You can easily adjust the handlebar to a comfortable height for you.

The BOB Motion stroller was one of the best strollers during its time back in 2016. But surprisingly, it can still compete with ones of the current top strollers a few years later.

Read below for the full list of features!

BOB Motion Stroller Features

All-Terrain Air Tires with Suspension System: The stroller has all terrain air tires that are able to conquer all terrain – grassy, sandy, gravel, or smooth terrain. In addition, the stroller has a suspension suspension system that gives you and your baby a bump-free ride especially on rough terrain.

Lockable Swiveling Front Wheels: The stroller has lockable swiveling front wheels which give the stroller easier maneuverability.

Car Seat Compatible: The stroller is car seat compatible and accepts any Britax infant car seat or the BOB B-Safe infant car seat. Using the Click and Go adapters of the stroller, you can easily attach the car seat to the stroller frame.

Newborn Stroller: By replacing the stroller seat with an infant car seat, you can travel with your newborn aboard the stroller. Pence you baby is older, you can switch to the stroller seat.

One-Hand, Multi-Position Recline: The stroller seat is able to recline into multiple positions without requiring you to free up both hands. Your kid can either sit up straight, lay flat for a nap, or in between.

5-Point Harness: The stroller seat has a 5-point harness system that keeps your baby safely strapped to the stroller seat.

Adjustable Handlebar Height: The stroller handle bars can be adjusted to a preferred height. Lets you adjust the handlebar to the height of the parent using the stroller.

One-Hand Quick Fold: The stroller has a quick-fold feature that lets you fold up the stroller quick and easily using only one hand.

Compact Fold: The stroller folds up into really compact dimensions of 21.9″W x 10.1″H x 26.3″L. This size can easily fit into a traveling bag or in small spaces – trains, airplanes, and small cars.

Large Storage Basket: This stroller also includes a large storage basket.

Large Extendable Canopy with Peek-a-Boo Window: The stroller has a large canopy with a peek-a-boo mesh for increased ventilation and keeping an eye on your baby.

Child’s Weight: The stroller weighs 23.1 lbs but is able to carry up to 65 lbs of child weight. This is quite a lot compared to most strollers. It makes it suitable for toddlers or bigger kids, and also takes a while for your kid to outgrow the stroller!

BOB Motion Stroller Reviews

Pros:

All Terrain Stroller: The all-terrain wheels lets you easily go over any terrain – sand, gravel or grassy.

Wheel suspension system with lockable swiveling wheels. These features work together to give a smooth riding experience

One-hand quick fold to let you easily fold up the stroller. Not all strollers offer this feature.

Adjustable handlebar that lets you adjust to a height that’s suitable for you.

Car seat compatible: this makes the stroller suitable for both newborns and toddlers.

Suitable for big kids and toddlers of up to 65 lbs.

Cons:

No child or parent cup holder or tray

Only compatible with BOB and Britax car seats

The BOB Motion has a lot of great features. It’s quite hard to find something lacking in the stroller. The main Con is that for an everyday stroller, it doesn’t have a parent or child tray  or cup holders. These are sometimes essential features to have in an everyday stroller.

In terms of reviews from other parents who bought and used the stroller, a lot of them mostly had nice things to say about the stroller.

After analyzing close to 600 parent reviews and feedback, these are the likes and dislikes mentioned and included as part of the BOB Motion stroller review.
