Thule Urban Glide vs BOB Revolution Flex – Features

Car Seat Compatible: The Urban Glide and Revolution Flex are both car seat compatible! By using a car seat adapter you can easily attach your car seat to the stroller frame of both strollers.

The Urban Glide has a nice universal adapter that allows you to fit car seats from all the top brands like – Britax, Nuna, Graco, and Evenflo. Using only one adapter, you can easily attach different types of car seats to your stroller frame.

On the other hand, the BOB Revolution Flex has different car seat adapters for Chicco, Britax, Graco and Peg Perego car seats! Note, the car seat adapters are not included in the price for both strollers. You’d have to purchase them separately.

Bassinet Stroller: While both strollers are car seat compatible, only the Thule Urban Glide is bassinet compatible. You can easily attach the Thule infant bassinet to the Urban Glide stroller frame, transforming it from a jogging stroller into a stylish pram! Note: the bassinet also needs to be purchased separately.

Thule Urban Glide Bassinet

The BOB Revolution Flex stroller unfortunately does NOT include a bassinet feature.

Newborn Stroller: Although both stroller seats cannot directly be used for newborns, they can still easily be made compatible by replacing the stroller seats with an infant car seat or a bassinet (in case of the Urban Glide). You can safely carry your newborn aboard both strollers using either options! And once your baby is old enough, you can easily switch to the stroller seat.

One-Hand Multi-Position Recline and Footrest: the seats for both strollers can be adjusted into multiple positions using just a single hand. Your baby can switch from sitting upright, to laying horizontally in a completely flat recline – it is especially great and convenient for taking naps.

In addition, each stroller has a footrest attached to the seats. The footrest provides more comfort by giving  your child room to rest while sitting aboard the stroller.

5-Point Harness: in terms of safety, both strollers have an easy to adjust 5-point harness system that keeps your baby safely strapped into the stroller seat.

Quick One-Step Fold: Both the Urban Glide and Revolution Flex have a one-step fold that allows you to fold up the stroller quickly and easily. The Urban Glide however, has the true one-hand fold that lets you fold up the stroller without having to free up both hands. While the Revolution Flex requires you to use both hands.

The one-hand fold is always more convenient especially when you’re in a hurry or on-the-go. You don’t have to find room to set your baby down so you can free up both hands.

Adjustable Handlebar: the handlebars for both strollers can be adjusted to fit the height of the parent handling the stroller. This is especially great for tall and short parents! It allows you to easily adjust the handlebar for both tall and short heights.

Thule Urban Glide vs BOB Revolution Flex – Wheels

The great and most important feature of both the Urban Glide and Revolution Flex are the wheels! They both have large all terrain wheels that allow you to drive the stroller over any terrain – smooth or rough. For a jogging stroller, this is a great feature as it doesn’t restrict the terrain you can go over while running with your stroller!

Next, both stroller wheels have an all-wheel suspension system that gives you the smoothest ride and prevents the stroller from jiggling/bumping around. Your baby can sit comfortably and enjoy a smooth ride while you jog!

Last they both have a lockable swiveling front wheel that makes the stroller easy to maneuver and allows you round corners smoothly.

Both strollers have such a great and smooth ride – better than most strollers I’ve tested. It was really hard to choose between either, so I give them both an A+.

Thule Urban Glide vs BOB Revolution Flex – Basket

In terms of storage, both the Urban Glide and Revolution Flex do pretty great! The Urban Glide has a large storage basket for storing your on-the-go items. The basket has a zip cover that lets you zip up the basket to keep your items safely stored in the basket. I really like this feature as you don’t run the risk of having your stuff spill all over the floor by the slightest jolt.

The Urban Glide also has an extra storage compartment at the rear of the stroller. It gives you room to store stuff like your phone, keys, etc.

On the other hand, the Revolution Flex has a large storage basket and six additional storage pockets spread across the stroller. It gives you more than enough room for carrying your stuff. And you won’t have to carry that extra bag with you when going out.

Thule Urban Glide vs BOB Revolution Flex – Canopy

If you’re looking for a nice large canopy with your stroller, then both strollers are pretty much there for you. They both have UPF50, sun-proof canopies that help protect your kid against harmful UV-rays. Apart from the UPF50 features, the canopies are both of high quality fabrics and great design. They don’t get wrinkly or look of low quality material like the average stroller.

The canopies also have an open and close flap that serves as both a ventilation and peek-a-boo window. You can open the flap to allow some air into the stroller, or you can check in on your infant or have a nice chat with your toddler while out for a walk!

Thule Urban Glide vs BOB Revolution Flex – Weight & Capacity

On average, jogging strollers weigh quite a bit – some weighing as much as 30 lbs. So it is not surprising to see that both strollers weigh quite a bit:

Thule Urban Glide Weight: 25.3 lbs

BOB Revolution Flex Weight: 28.5 lbs

While the Revolution Flex is quite heavy at 28.5 lbs, I’d say the Thule Urban Glide does pretty decently. At just around 25 lbs, it is quite light compared to most jogging strollers available on the market. So if you’d prefer a more lightweight stroller, the Urban Glide is the better option to go for.

And lastly, in terms of weight capacity, both strollers are able to carry up to 75 lbs of child’s weight! This is quite a lot as most strollers only allow a max. of 50 lbs. At 75 lbs, you can carry older toddlers aboard the stroller – even up to 6 years old.
