Made of high-quality materials, the Cybex Balios S stroller features multiple seating positions and is suitable for babies from birth up to their first few years of toddlerhood. Balios S has a reversible, non-bucket seat with independently adjustable backrest and leg rest. The seat is located higher, so the baby is closer to you and you can use the stroller as a high chair. The solid rubber wheels with a foam core are maintenance-free. The soft suspension ensures a comfortable ride on all kinds of terrain. Balios S also features new, premium textiles, a visor on the extra-large extendable hood and a reinforced shopping basket. This is a full-sized everyday stroller, really well equipped, yet very compact and not excessively heavy. It features few seating options (including near-flat recline) to serve parents from birth to toddlerhood.
However, I would still use additional attachment that provides even more supportive surface and enclosed space. Parents can attach an additional newborn cocoon to provide proper support for your newborn’s back, neck and head.
The Cybex Balios S works fine for kids from 0 to 4 years. The Stroller has the following features;

Bumper Bar
Included in the stroller feature is a leatherette bumper bar which opens easily to access the seat. One great feature of this Balios S is that it comes with a bumper bar. From my observations, many strollers don’t have this accessory, you have to pay extra for it. So it’s a big advantage to be able to purchase a Cybex Balios Stroller. It rotates and opens from both sides which makes it easy putting the baby in and out of the seat.
Canopy
One of the best features of Cybex Balios S, is that it has an XXL Sun Canopy. The canopy has an allowance for extension with the zip feature on it, which simply allows you to extend the canopy further by unzipping it and creating extra cover for your baby, from head to toe. And that’s not just it about the canopy, there is also a Peek-a-boo window to keep an eye on your baby wherever you go. It’s also nice to know the window operates silently, so no worries about disturbing your baby’s nap. The peek-a-boo mesh design drives air inflow and together with the UV 50+ protection provided by the sun hood fabric, makes the stroller an ideal stroller to buy!
Seat Unit
The regular seat is reversible so your child can face you or the World. Reversing the seat is very easy. There is a 3-position recline with near-flat position which makes this stroller suitable for smaller and younger infants. To recline the seat you need to use a lever on the back of it, so it is a one-handed system. Very quick and easy.
The seat has a 5-point harness with easy to adjust straps and a smooth buckle in the middle.
Storage Basket
The basket under the seat is really big and capacious. It can easily accommodate large diaper bags and shopping bags. The seat is mounted high so you can fit big and long items in the basket and have easy access to them. The weight limit is about 11 lbs.

The 3-stage recline can go all the way to an entirely flat position, thus making this stroller a great choice for new babies and young toddlers.
Leg Rest
As babies grow, a more comfortable leg rest is important, and the Cybex Balios S has that feature, thanks to the adjustable leg rest. There is also independently adjustable leg rest that also has 3 different positions. This stroller has also a step that older and taller children can use as a footrest. It is un-adjustable and can be used only when the seat is facing forward.
The Cocoon
Infants need the best support and care, which is why it makes sense to invest in a stroller with a decent newborn cocoon. The Cybex Balios S comes with one, and while this cocoon is much smaller than the Cot S bassinet, the former is a great add-on for support and overall baby wellness. It also reclines entirely flat, making it possible for your baby to rest without any safety concerns. The stroller cocoon has two covers to protect from the extremes of winter and summer, thus checking your baby’s exposure to cold and heat all year round. There is also a stroller harness at the back of the cocoon to strap your baby if the need arises.
The Cybex Balios S Travel System
For parents who spend more time outdoors, stroller seats that also double as travel systems when on the go are a must-have. Thankfully, the Cybex Balios S works with car seat adapters. However, these are sold separately, so you may consider investing in one depending on your commute needs. The Cybex Balios S Stroller works with both GB and Cybex infant car seats. To switch from regular stroller to travel system, simply remove the regular seat and integrate your choice car seat to the stroller frame.
The Wheels
The Cybex Balios S is ruggedly designed to withstand shock from all types of terrains. The wheels are sufficiently inflated with less possibilities to get deflated whilst on a stroll with your baby. The swiveling front wheels are complemented by large rear ones for an overall sturdy design. A good suspension system is key if you regularly walk on gravel or uneven terrains, and the stroller is a nice match if that sounds like your need. All wheels are equipped with a spring to stabilize movement and reduce the impact of road imperfections. This new model from Cybex has all-terrain rubberized wheels. You don’t have to worry about inflating or having flats. The rear wheels are bigger, while the front ones are pivoting and can be locked for better stability on rough terrain.
There are visible springs on all wheels which give nice suspension, so you can be sure the ride will be comfortable even on harsher surfaces. You can take this stroller over pavement, cobbled streets, grass or gravel and it will remain sturdy and smooth.
The Brake System
This stroller has a single action brake, located in the middle of the rear axle. It is easy to press and release. To use this stroller feature, simply press and release the pedal at the center of the rear axle. Since the pedal is a little close to the basket, applying the brakes can be a little irksome, so you want to keep this in mind when reaching for the brake.

With four settings available, the handlebar can be tailored to suit your height, making it easy to maneuver the stroller everywhere you go.
Folding
Thanks to a fairly lightweight design and compact build, the Cybex Balios S folds easily, in a two-step process and within a few seconds. After use, all you need to do is simply push down the handlebar. The stroller can be folded with the seat in the rear or front-facing position. Folded, the Cybex Balios comes to only 16.14” x 23.62” x 29.53” in dimension, comfortable for storage at home and fits nicely in most car trunks. The overall build should allow you to move past tight doorways and aisle without any problems. At 24 lbs, this stroller is one of the lightest heavy-duty strollers on the market. Lifting it into your car trunk or away from it after use shouldn’t be difficult.
Folding is two-step, but you can do it using one hand and it takes literally a few seconds. You just need to bring the backrest to the front and then push the handlebar down. It’s a piece of cake! And you can do it with the seat attached, both rear and front facing.
