Best Chicco Double Stroller Travel System

1. Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller

YSG Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

The Chicco Cortina Together double stroller is the only Chicco double stroller travel system currently available. Its car seat compatibility feature allows you to transform the stroller into a nice double travel system for two kids. This makes it great for newborn twins as you can replace the stroller seats with infant car seats, and carry up to two newborns aboard the stroller. Once the babies are older (6 months), you can switch to using the regular stroller seats. It is a tandem style double stroller that is suitable for kids within the same age range or slightly further apart – you have one kid sitting in the front seat and the other sitting behind.

The Chicco Cortina stroller received quite a number of positive feedback for its quality and features, this earns it its rank as a top Chicco double stroller travel system.

Read below for the full list of features!

  • Car Seat Compatible: The Chicco Cortina Together double stroller is able to fit the Keyfit and Fit2 car seats for infants. This makes it possible to fit in two infants in one stroller. Note: Stroller does not come with a car seat. It needs to be purchased separately.
  • Tandem Style: The Chicco Cortina Together double stroller is a tandem style stroller. Compared to a side-by-side stroller, this style of stroller is nice for when you live in a big city and have to walk through busy/narrow streets.
  • Recline for both Stroller Seats: The front stroller seat is able to recline into 2 positions. And the rear seat is able to recline into 4 positions. This rear recline is perfect for newborns as it allows them lay flat on their back.

Likes
  • Suitable for newborns
  • Easy to fold
  • Smooth and easy maneuver
  • Adjustable handlebar for tall and short parents
  • Large stroller basket
  • Includes cup holders for babies
Dislikes
  • Cannot fit into small cars or small storage spaces
  • A bit too heavy

  • Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
  • Product Quality: 4.7 out of 5 stars (4.7 / 5)
  • Easy and Smooth Maneuver: [4.5]
  • Easy to Fold: 4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)
  • Lightweight: 4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

The Chicco Cortina Together double stroller received a lot of great reviews however, it also got a few complaints about its weight. The stroller is quite big, and doesn’t fit into small cars or small storage spaces so won’t be recommended if you have a small car or not enough room to store it at home. Also at 34 lbs, the stroller could be quite heavy and not recommended for small parents as it would take a lot of effort to wheel around.

Apart from these two drawbacks, the Chicco Cortina is still a pretty good travel system stroller for two kids!

And lastly…

Best Chicco Side-by-Side Double Stroller

4. Chicco Echo Twin Stroller

YSG Rating: 4.2 out of 5 stars (4.2 / 5)

The Chicco Echo twin stroller is actually the only side-by-side stroller offered by Chicco. Among all Chicco double strollers, the Echo twin is more popular for being affordable, and great for taking on quick trips. Unlike most double strollers, the Echo twin is quite compact, making it easy to travel with so a lot of parents love it for those quick trips to Europe, Disneyland or the zoo.

Note that although the Echo Twin is advertised as being lightweight, it weighs 30 lbs, which is still quite heavy once you have two kids riding along. For a more lightweight alternative, I’d actually recommend the Delta Children LX Side by Side Stroller.

On the other hand, if you’re searching for a compact stroller for taking walks in the park or going on short trips, the Echo Twin is the best Chicco stroller for this purpose. Note: the stroller cannot be used for newborns. It is recommended for kids that are at least 6 months old.

Read below for the full list of features:

  • Stroller Canopy: The stroller has a single-panel canopy that helps provide both of your kids with some shade.
  • Mesh Stroller Basket: The Echo Twin stroller also includes a small basket to hold your on-the-go essentials.
  • 4-Position Recline: Each stroller seat is able to recline into four positions making it possible for your kids to lay back comfortably.
  • 5-Point Harness: In terms of safety, the stroller seats have a 5-point harness that helps keep your babies safely strapped in.
  • Leg Rest: The stroller has a leg rest for each child.
  • Child Weight: Carries child weight of up to 40 lbs each.

For the Likes and Dislikes

Likes
  • Sturdy and easy to maneuver
  • Recline for both babies
  • Easy to fold
  • Compact fold, and easy to store
  • Affordable double stroller
Dislikes
  • Too heavy
  • Canopy is too short
  • Not for newborns. Suitable for kids 8 months – 40lbs each.
  • No child tray or cup holder

  • Overall YSG Rating: 4.2 out of 5 stars (4.2 / 5)
  • Product Quality: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
  • Easy and Smooth Maneuver: 4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)
  • Easy to Fold: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
  • Lightweight: 3.9 out of 5 stars (3.9 / 5)

The Echo Twin stroller is the best double stroller available under the Chicco brand, however there are still better options out there for something very similar. The Delta Children LX Side-by-Side stroller is more affordable and way more lightweight, and the Jeep Scout Double stroller is also more affordable and more lightweight for basically the same features. So if you’re interested in a stroller like the Echo Twin, I’d strongly recommend you check out these two stroller instead.
