Using the Babyzen Yoyo as a Double Stroller

Is there a Babyzen Yoyo double stroller?

Short Answer: No. The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is not a convertible stroller, so it cannot transform from a single to double stroller.

HOWEVER, all hope is not lost! There are still two nice options available to use it as a double stroller – 1) attaching a glider board 2) using a connector to attach two Babyzen Yoyo strollers!

Babyzen Yoyo Double Stroller – Glider Board

You can turn your Babyzen Yoyo into a stroller for two kids by simply attaching the Babyzen glider board. But this only works if you have two kids a bit far apart in age – with the older kid being around 3 years old.

The Babyzen Glider board allows your older child to ride along on the stroller, and offers both a sitting or standing option. If your toddler is more active, they can stand on the board and sit once they get tired.

The glider board has a capacity of up to 44 pounds, so your child can use this for a few years. And it also has two storage positions that allow you to easily store it away when not in use. I find this option pretty handy for when your child decides to be a big boy/girl and walk instead of riding.

Babyzen Yoyo Double Stroller – Stroller Connectors

The second option that allows you to use the Babyzen Yoyo as a double stroller is to use the Babyzen stroller connectors. This allows you to connect two single Babyzen Yoyo strollers so they can be used as a double stroller.

This option is suitable for if you have two kids of the same age. But requires you to either already have two Babyzen strollers or to purchase a second stroller.

Note: Although the Babyzen Yoyo is a great stroller, (as you would find out below) you might still want to consider a stroller that actually converts from a single to double stroller – especially if you’re shopping for your first stroller.

Convertible strollers are already designed to accommodate one to two kids. You won’t need connectors or glider boards, and you can also carry newborn twins. Babyzen Yoyo Stroller Features

Car Seat Compatible: First thing to note is that the Babyzen YOYO+ is car seat compatible. It accepts infant car seats from – Nuna Pipa, and Cybex. These can both be easily attached by using a car seat adapter.. Note: the car seat adapters are not included so the car seat and adapters need to be purchased separately.

Newborn Stroller: By replacing the stroller seat with an infant car seat or attaching the Babyzen newborn bassinet, you can travel with your newborn aboard the stroller.

Multi-Position Recline: Although the stroller does not recline fully for a newborn, it still has a multi-position recline that allows you to adjust the seat into multiple positions. Your kids can either sit up straight, lay back to relax or for a nap.

5-Point Harness: In terms of safety, the stroller seat also has a 5-point harness system that keeps your baby safely strapped to the stroller seat.

4-Wheel Suspension System: the stroller also has a 4-wheel suspension system that helps provide you and your baby with a smooth and bump-free ride!

Super Compact Fold: in terms of compactness, the Babyzen YOYO earns a big plus. It folds into the small dimensions of 20 x 17.5 x 7 inches. This is quite compact and allows you to easily fit it in small spaces and also a small travelling bag.

One-Hand Fold: In addition to being super compact, the stroller also includes a one-hand fold feature. This way, you don’t need to free up both hands when folding up the stroller!

Storage Basket: Not so large but also not too small, the Babyzen YOYO also includes a decent-sized storage basket. You can carry most of your on-the-go items – bottles, diapers, toys or small snacks.

2-Panel Extendable Stroller Canopy: For a lightweight stroller, one could say the YOYO+ has a fairly large canopy. It can be extended by up to two panels and provides enough shade for your kid.

Child’s Weight: The stroller is quite lightweight at just 16 lbs and is able to carry up to 35 lbs of child weight. Sadly, the capacity is quite small so you can only use the stroller for small toddlers not more than 40 lbs.

Pros

  • Multi-Position Recline: This provides your kid with extra comfort
  • Five-Point Harness: Stroller safety is always a concern for all parents, so having this feature is definitely a pro.
  • Stroller is really lightweight and folds up very compact
  • 4-Wheel Suspension System: It is always horrible when strollers don’t have this. So it is great that the Babyzen YOYO+ has a nice 4-wheel suspension system!

Cons

  • Quite expensive stroller
  • Can only carry 40 lbs, so it is not suitable for bigger toddlers

There are quite a number of Pros for the Babyzen Yoyo double stroller and only a few Cons. The Yoyo+ is quite expensive compared to most lightweight strollers, but it also include features you won’t get with most lightweight strollers. Another Con is that it can only carry up to 40 lbs which is s bit less compared to most strollers. But apart from these two Cons, the Yoyo+ is quite great as a lightweight full-size stroller that’s great for everyday use!

Based on the stroller features and parent reviews, the Babyzen Yoyo stroller gets an overall rating of:

Overall YSG Rating:  4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Lightweight: 4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Sturdiness: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Ease of Use and Maneuverability: 4.7 out of 5 stars (4.7 / 5)

Features: 4.7 out of 5 stars (4.7 / 5)

Conclusion –  Babyzen Yoyo Double Stroller Review

Although the Babyzen YOYO+ is a great stroller, I’d still recommend a convertible stroller if you need a double stroller for two kids!

A convertible stroller can easily be converted from a single to double stroller for two kids. But getting the Babyzen YOYO+ requires you to purchase two sets of the stroller and attach them using the connector. This can be quite expensive as it costs almost $500 for a single stroller, and almost over a $1000 for two strollers plus the connector.

Therefore, I’d recommend you check out this list of the top convertible strollers for two kids. Unless you really like the Babyzen YOYO+ and don’t mind spending the extra cash for it!

And that’s it for a full Babyzen Yoyo Double Stroller review! I hope it has provided you with enough information to help you make your purchase decision.
