In terms of features, the City Select is quite great. It is one of the top strollers currently available on the market, and is also a more affordable alternative to a luxury style stroller. Compared to most strollers with the average max capacity of 50 lbs, your babies would have to give up the stroller sooner than later.

2. Thule Urban Glide Double Stroller

YSG Rating: 4.7 out of 5 stars (4.7 / 5)

Price: $$$

The next jogging double stroller that fit Chicco KeyFit 30 is the Thule Urban Glide 2 Double stroller. It is very much similar to the BOB Revolution flex stroller in terms of quality and features. And it has a Universal Car Seat adapter that allows you to easily attach the Chicco KeyFit and KeyFit 30 to the stroller frame.

Compared to the BOB Revolution Flex, you can only attach one car seat at a time to the Thule Urban Glide stroller frame. This means this stroller is more suitable if you have a newborn and an older toddler. The Chicco car seat can be attached to one of the stroller seats to carry a newborn from birth (Note: it is advised to only use this for strolling and not for jogging.) But once your child is old enough (from 6 months) you can switch to the stroller seat and safely go jogging with both your kids.

The Thule Urban Glide is a side-by-side jogging double stroller that can be used for both everyday use and for jogging. The Thule Urban Glide manages to edge out the competition by offering a similar design with less bulk, and better quality. Making it more suitable as an everyday stroller compared to most.

This stroller has impressive manoeuvrability, and folds relatively small compared to most jogging strollers. Here is a complete overview of all the stroller’s features.

Thule Urban Glide Double Stroller Features

Car Seat and Bassinet Compatible: The stroller can be used from birth using the Thule bassinet or infant car seat– although it only accepts one at a time. You can have a combination of a toddler and newborn seated in the stroller, but not two newborn twins.

The carrycot and car seat are not included in the stroller package. And for the car seat, Thule offers a universal adapter for several brands which include the Chicco KeyFit 30.

When attaching either the carrycot or car seat, you can remove the stroller seat and canopy fabric to create a neater look. Without the carrycot or car seat, the stroller can only be used from six months old.

Multi-Position Seat Recline and Leg Rests: The stroller seat is only suitable from 6 months old and can be used up to 5 or 6 years (or 50 lbs) for each kid. The seats have leg rests which are not adjustable, but they are nicely padded, and the corresponding footrest is wide. Both seats have individual reclines that go almost flat for great napping. Each kid can choose what position they prefer to sit in.

5-Point Harness: Each seat has a 5-point harness with a buckle that is significantly easy to operate.. Adjusting the harness straps is very simple, with a no-rethread adjustment and straps that slide up and down on a strap sewn to the seat back. The crotch strap is adjustable in length but not position.

Easy Fold and Unfold: The stroller is very easy to fold with one hand and a folding handle you slide and twist. Once folded, it has an automatic lock and will self-stand if the handlebar is at the right height. Unfolding requires two hands and is straightforward.

Single Action Brakes: The Thule has single action brakes that are easy to set and release, plus friendly to sandal footwear. The drum handbrake is also easy to use with a new twisting design and center handlebar position.

Storage: The stroller has a medium-sized storage bin with access from the back and a 10 lbs weight limit. You can fit an extra-large diaper bag inside, but the bin’s weather-resistant zippered cover won’t close with the bag inside. It also sports a back pocket for small item organization.

Items like a cell phone, keys, and water bottle can go in the seat back pockets, though they can be difficult to access after you recline the seats. Your kids also have storage pockets within reach in the stroller seat to keep a sippy cup or snack.

Large Canopy with Peek-a-Boo Window: The sunshades on the Glide are quite large with a pop-out fabric visor. They provide enough coverage and shade almost to the knee. It has a large peek-a-boo window with a magnetic closure cover for added ventilation.

Height Adjustable Handlebar: The handlebar is height adjustable, ergonomic and provides extra cushioning, and it has an easy-to-engage hand brake.

All-Terrain Wheels with Lockable Swiveling Wheels: This stroller boasts a high score in terms of maneuverability with an easy to push and turn design of 3 wheels.

It has air-filled, rubber tires and swiveling front wheels that makes it easy to push and turn on flat surfaces. For off-road pushing and turning, it is also quite easy and gives no trouble with grass, gravel, bumps, or curbs.

It also has a rear-wheel suspension, rubber tires, dense seat padding and harness padding all for a reasonably comfortable ride.

3. Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller

YSG Rating: 4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Price: $$$

Another jogging double stroller that fits Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat is the Bumbleride Indie twin stroller. It is also a jogging stroller that can be used both for jogging and for everyday use. It is quite similar to the BOB Revolution Duallie in terms of features and is also compatible with the Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat. You can attach the Chicco KeyFit 30 to the stroller frame with the Bumbleride car seat adapter. Although this only accommodates one car seat and not two. This means that the stroller can only accommodate the combination of a newborn and toddler instead of newborn twins when using the car seats.

The stroller however offers the option to carry two newborn twins by using bassinets.

Read below for the full list of features:

Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller Features

Car Seat Compatible: The Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller is car seat compatible! You can easily attach a car seat to the stroller frame.

Apart from the Chicco KetFit 30 adapter, you can attach car seats from multiple brands using the appropriate car seat adapter. This allows you to easily attach car seats from top brands like Nuna, Graco and Maxi-Cosi. It is compatible with the popular Graco SnugRide as well as the Chicco KeyFit 30.

Note: both the car seat adapter and car seat are not included in the price, so you’d have to purchase them separately. This unfortunately bumps up the price for the stroller even further up.

Bassinet Stroller: Apart from being car seat compatible, the Bumbleride Indie twin is also bassinet compatible! You can attach up to two bassinets aboard the stroller frame. This gives you even more options/ways of riding the stroller!

Newborn Stroller: The Indie Twin seats can easily be adjusted to accommodate newborns. This allows you to use the stroller from the birth of your babies without needing any extra attachments.

This option allow you to use the same stroller from the birth of your babies till they are much older. Once your babies are older, you can switch back to the stroller seat.

Multi-Position Recline: In addition, the stroller seats are able to recline into multiple positions. Unlike most strollers that claim to have a full recline, the Indie Twin seats recline completely into a horizontal position that make them comfortable for even a newborn. This is great for your babies laying back to have a nice nap.

5-Point Harness: Lastly in terms of safety, the stroller seat has a 5-point harness system which helps to keep your baby safely strapped to the stroller seat. As babies tend to move around a lot while you’re not paying full attention, the harness helps to keep your babies safely strapped in.

Adjustable Footrest: In terms of comfort, the stroller seats also have adjustable footrests that give your babies some leg support while riding the stroller. This is also great for naps as it is more convenient to not have your kid’s feets dangling while they nap.

All-Terrain Wheels: in terms of wheels, the Indie Twin has all-terrain air filled wheels that lets you ride smoothly and easily over any terrain. It is great for rides in grassy-terrain parks, smooth sidewalks, and going over rough unpaved paths!

Note: the air pumps for the wheels are included in the stroller price.

All Wheel Suspension System and Lockable Swiveling Wheels: In terms of ease of maneuvering and giving a smooth ride, the Indie Twin is around the top compared to most double strollers! It has lockable swiveling front wheels that makes it easy to maneuver. And the shock-absorbing, all wheel suspension system helps to give you and your babies a smooth and bump-free ride.

The wheels for double strollers are always important as double strollers are bigger and require more effort to move around!

Adjustable Handlebar: The Bumbleride Indie Twin also has an adjustable handlebar that lets you adjust the handlebar to the height of the parent using the stroller. This makes it great for small and tall parents as it allows you to easily adjust the handlebar to fit the height of either parent! It also saves you the backache or shoulder pain from having to hunch over or push at an uncomfortable position.

Flip-Flop Friendly Foot Brakes: in terms of ease of use and safety, the stroller has flip-flop friendly foot brakes that allows you to quickly and easily apply the brakes on the stroller with a single toe tap when you need to.

Self-Standing Quick Fold: the stroller has a quick fold feature that lets you fold it up pretty quick and easily. This allows you to fold up the stroller quick and easy in one motion and into a self-standing position.

It also folds up quite compact compared to most double strollers. This makes it easier to carry in your car or store at home.

Compact Double Stroller: the Indie Twin is quite compact for a side-by-side double stroller. At just 29.5 inches wide, it can easily fit through most doors!

Storage Basket and Pockets In terms of storage, the stroller includes a large rear-accessible basket for storing your on-the-go items. You can carry your diapers, bottles, toys or snacks while on-the-go.

The stroller seats  also have side pockets that provide room for your babies to hold their snacks or toys while riding aboard the stroller.

Extendable UPF45 Stroller Canopy: Another great part of the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller is its large extendable canopy that provides your kid with enough cover. Its UPF45+ canopy helps to protect your babies against harmful UV rays.

Child’s Weight: The stroller weighs about 36 lbs and is able to carry up to 45 lbs of child weight each.

The weight is quite high at 36 lbs, but is not surprising for a double stroller. But with a carrying capacity of 45 lbs each you carry your babies from when they are newborns till they are older, up to 6 years old!

Likes
  • Smooth and easy maneuver
  • Easy fold and unfold
  • Compact and fits through all doors
  • Compatible with other brand car seats
  • Storage pockets in stroller seats
Dislikes
  • Wheels go flat and need to be pumped
  • Heavy to carry
  • Bulky fold
  • Can only accommodate one Chicco KeyFit car seat

In terms of features and stroller quality, there were barely any negative reviews to be found for the Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller. The only issues a few parents pointed out were –  the size of the stroller, the bulky fold, and needing to pump the tires multiple times. Some parents found the stroller quite heavy to carry, and some found the fold to be a bit bulky and needing more car space to store. And as the tires are air-filled, they need to get pumped each time they go flat.

Apart from these points, the Indie Twin is a really nice jogging double stroller that is also compatible with the KeyFit 30.

  1. The Bumbleride Indie Twin does not fit Chicco, and the adaptor you have linked says it’s for the single. On the Bumbleride website, the adaptor specifically says not compatible with the twin. Do you have experience using a Chicco adaptor for the Indie Twin??

    1. Hello Laura. The Bumbleride Indie Twin is compatible with the Chicco KeyFit, but can only carry one car seat at a time. So it is not a good option if you’d like to carry twins. It is more suited for one small kid (in the car seat), and an older kid (in the stroller seat).
